yet another bitch about sth...

I would love it if this year no-one renewed...and we would see just how long we would survive.

Some people need a reality check.

You know that Dave, I know that , its basic business practice to look after your loyal customers, something that seems to go over the head of a lot of people on here

I remeber when some people moaned that they couldn't get a ticket for spurs but we couldn't sell out of allication against rothertham, in a game that if we had lost we would have gone down.

I don't mind if STH get first refusal on away games from now on, but would like the club to announce that this is going to be the way forward for games. As i will think secondly about getting train tickets for away games, if i can't be sure if im going to get a match ticket.

Did we play Spurs or West Ham on a midweek evening which meant leaving brighton by about 4.30 and possibly not being able to get back home by public transport or at least like the Millwall ( which is much nearer Main line stations to Brighton) game until the early hours of the morning.

I shall drive to Orient f I didnt drive I wouldnt go end of story but then I am only a part time fan.

Just as it seems to go over your head that having a season ticket is not a measure of loyalty, it is a measure of financial well-being.

If season ticket holders are that loyal, why do they say "we're the lifeblood of this club but unless you give us a ticket we're going to cut an artery or two"?

Why on earth is it a measure of financial well-being ?

I ASSume that Juan is working on the basis that not everyone can afford £480/500 in one fell swoop or does not want to put the sum on credit...

But if they were wise it could be on interest free credit............

You mean 'loyalty to those fortunate enough in life to be able to afford a season ticket'.

With all respect, thats bollocks. I cant afford one but will happily do enough overtime/miss enough nights out to cover it. I'm not saying i'm a saint, but it's a priority of mine.

Cannot be there as I have work commitments but at least working allows me to buy a season ticket!!

Enjoy the cold Tuesday night in East London and the three points we will get.

At last the voice of common sense. When will you lot realise that the reason why alot of us are NO LONGER season ticket holders is because £450 is alot of money when you have higher priorities such as families, bills, mortgages.

Not all of us are loaded with cash!!

Also - DTG. To say that without season ticket holders the club would die is complete and utter nonsense. Are you saying that just because you don't have a season ticket, you would not go to watch the Albion?

The club makes more money from someone who attends every home game, but who doesn't buy for a season ticket than it does from STH's simple sums really.

£24 x 23 = £552 PLUS home cup games so in theory, those who don't have the cash to stump up for a season ticket but who goes to every game is actually, from a financial point of view, is a far better type of supporter to have rather than those who want to save a few quid with a season ticket as they are putting more money into the club than STH's!

Suppose the only bonus with season ticket holders finding it difficult to get hold of tickets is that it allows the general public a chance to see Brighton play, which no doubt will produce more fans...?

You get early renewual on st at a cheaper price for new sth, you get discounts, away members, almost gaunteed a ticket for the bigger games. Nothing to do with wealth as you can pay by direct debtit over the year. As for orient me and afew other sth brought ares today as we knew there would be no shortage!

But at the end of the day were all :albion:

I cannot understand what difference it makes whether 1 or 501 STH go to Orient and am suprised that an intelligent man like Lord B should see the need to post such a question on Ask The Club.

This can only be to wind people up and continue the unrest about ticket allocation for games against well known teams.

As surley STH are the like blood of the club and are such great supporters that they would want to go to any game whoever the albion play rather than just cherry pick the big away cup games?
