Google Pay for Android takes up around 45mb (about 10 photos worth) - or about 0.06% of the capacity of my clunky 4 year old phone. If you change phones, simply add the app and sign on with your new one (most phone ugrades now allow very simple transfer of literally everything on your old device to the new one) - don’t understand what you mean by ‘no consideration given to this’ as none is needed. The tickets attach to your email address, not your phone number.

on the basis of your reply alone no everyone changes to same brand or operating system on phones

Google Pay can be used by all Android phones (apart from a small minority of Chinese phones that are now blocked by a US court ruling from accessing the Google store).

Google Pay can be used on an iPhone, if you want.

How did you sort this. I never found Google Pay on my phone wherever I looked. So went to install but message said already installed. Couldn't find.

I then downloaded again but when I tried to save ST to G Pay a message came up saying "this item can only be saved by one person." Well, I am the one person.

I can only assume the Save went to G Pay I couldn't see.

Albion ticket office and G Pay have tried to sort for me today but couldn't find an answer for me to now save the ST !!!!!

I have been left with an identical problem - the technical 'expert' at the club was supposed to call me back, but never did. Personally I have asked for the credit card facility although they have not given any thought to how children are evidence which I find baffling considering there are plenty in attendance and none will have driving licences and many no passport. An acknowledgement of emails sent wouldnt go a miss either and is easy to set up. I do wonder how little (if any) the process was tested (beyond the previous smaller physical attendance of ppl through turnstiles); also what EDI was considered here?

Might be worth checking your spam folder - in my experience not only do SS reply pretty quickly, you also get an auto-acknowledgment immediately after sending an email.

Kids don’t have to have ID as long as they are with a parent/guardian.

Thanks but I have just realised I was told to write to supporter.services@bhafc.co.uk BUT on the website it refers to supporter.services@bhafc.com - not that I have had a reply from either.

I believe that kids may need ID that's the part the person at the club said the club hasn't worked out what to do yet!!!!

Went to load mine on a Google Pixel this morning - couldn't get it to work. Watched the video and it says on there to use the Albion App instead of the email link.

Followed the instructions on there and added really easily.

So, if you are on Android and having difficulty, try the App route and you should be okay.

So there seems to be a difference between the guidance notes for phone tickets and the video. The guidance says you can use a non NFC smartphone by using the u"show code" option and scanning that but the video shows only the NFC option and says clearly you can't put the phone in the scanner . Anyone else spotted this and quiried it? I will ring supporter services to check.

Video doesn’t say you can’t scan the barcode as far as I can see (agree it doesn’t mention using the barcode though) and the guidance states :

Phones without NFC: Open the wallet app and the 'pass' for the game. Tap the 'Show Code' option, then place your phone inside the turnstile reader, with the barcode on the screen facing upwards.

If you have a valid Adult ticket the light will turn green and you can enter the stadium. The turnstile may show other colours depending on your price type. If the light turns red or you are unable to enter, please seek help from the nearest steward, who will be happy to help.

Thanks. I am sure it's just a video issue as the guidance is clear. My small point is that the guidance says (for non NFC ) put you phone in the scanner whereas the video says don't put the phone in the scanner. I realise the video is probably intended for NFC phones but I think it should have been made clearer. My better half is already anxious about the new system and this doesn't help.

Can you only imagine Bensgrandad, god rest his soul, having to engage with this process ?

I don't think I've ever missed a thread more than this one that 'could have been'. He'll be looking down chuckling at this, with his Omsung Phine.

As long as he didn’t need to download a season ticket to his Omsung Phine to get through the Pearly Gates.
