What a fantastic evening.....Bloom turned up at the Royal Oak about 7.45pm and frankly made me even more excited about our future.

The questions about our long-term future rendered the following response:

'The future of Brighton and Hove Albion is secure now for the next 100 years - for generations to be entertained'.

He was asked:

'Do you expect to get a return from your investment?'.

Answer - 'No. Its a pragmatic investment but one made from years of being involved in the club through my family. It's interest free and I've initially invested in bricks and mortar - from there its about a playing budget and taking the club to Championship and beyond'.

He struck me as being a realist and a very wealthy successful individual who really does have a grasp on what is possible and wht is required to turn this club into a club competing at the high reaches of the Championship.

He talked about the revenue already generated from the corporate boxes - he sees Falmer as a stadium that will be seeing gates of over 15,000 and has a blueprint for long term success for Sussex.

My question was about Poye - I asked about the risks to the dream he has for the club - basically do you expect tohave some robust conversations iwht certain clubs come the summer? Leeds for example...

Answer - no gurantees in life but no. I believe that Gus has bought into the long term plan and dream for this club and its simple - he is not available.

I will tell him if anyone comes in for him but I dont think its a problem'

Tony Bloom is pragmatic, he cares and most importantly he understand what is required to give the people of Brighton and Sussex what they want.

I was impressed and after 7 pints o Harveys in the Royal Oak have stumbled back to the flat in Southwark, happy, excited and to be frank very much assured that our club is in the safest hands it may ever have been in. Not just safe though - direct, focussed and committed.

£80million in cash inot the staduim???!!!

Thank you Tony. Thank you.

I kept trying to tell a very pissed Digweeds Trousers that the bloke he was speaking wasn't in fact Tony Bloom but a bloke who works in the fish and chip shop round the corner.

Damn you CG.....is that why the Chairman was wearing an apron and asking whether I wanted it open or closed?

f*** it - at least if the worse comes to the worst we have a Chairman in waiting should Blook leave.

For anyone that wants to know go to Olleys Fish and Chip shop in Great Suffoilk st in Londond. The man loves this club.

Even though he has no idea about Brighton or who we are.

I am drunk.

But clearly an impressive bloke from the chippy!

Yep, he said the facilities at his new place would be second to none and unlike any other fish and chip shop in the country.

However it won't be a simple case of out with the old and in with the new.

There will a supporters area selling warm cans of Corona Cola and brewed condiment for those who prefer it to vinegar.

In addition a muted television attached will be attached to the wall for those who wish to stay around for a while eating pickled eggs to to alleviate transport issues.

A very pleasatn evening indeed. Tony B seemed a very grounded and approachable fellow with his heart very much in the right place and an assured confidence in our potential.

Only downside to the evening was it was VERY hot in there (much more than usual) which led to a large amount of soft drink empty glasses and gradual striptease to t-shirt by our beloved Mr B!

By the way, Digwedd's Trousers, were you the fella next to Tony Bloom in the suit? Or the very talkative and 'emotional' guy in the corner?! ;)

Excellent the supporters area will no doubt thrive on this, will there be Whites Lemonade as well ?

I TOLD you £80m for Huss and Chips was a bit steep.
