However, the semi-legend that is my mother should be there, fresh from interrogating John Prescott about Falmer a couple of weeks back.

Apologies - it's not really my place to be modest on her behalf, although I'm sure she would blush at the "legend" tag. Fair point well made though (especially the "little ingrate" bit - lovely turn of phrase).

I'll buy her drinks myself - we can buy her a drink from the NSC tab when we get Falmer. The Swan sounds like a nice little pub...
