I've started using my FM radio app on my phone, this obviously only works if you are local though so may not be helpful.

I suggest to anyone using the Player, switch to the old player, usually sorts it out.

If you are experiencing buffering (as opposed to drop outs) due to weak internet connection you can improve by either:

a. click the old version
b. pause for a while and allow it to buffer for a while.

Or try both.
