How come there are no chain (Caffe Nero, Costa, Starbucks) coffee shops in Seaford? Very unusual for a town of its size. I'm not suggesting it's a bad thing (I've been to some decent independents there), but I'm amazed they've been able to keep the chains out. On the other hand a smallish village like Forest Row has a Costa.

Shoreham
Not particularly unusual. Shoreham hasn’t got a chain coffee shop too. Both towns have a population of around 20,000. Edit: come to think of it, Portslade hasn’t either.

I’m not complaining too. Tax dodging chains are destroying small and unique business.

Seaford has a couple of lovely independent coffee shops if remember rightly. Hari-Nats is one and there are some in the high street.

Nice home made cakes etc so much nicer than a chain.
