It seems a fairly good warm up game. It makes far more sense to play a championship team than to chase the shadows of a Premier Leage team. It is a shame that there are no home friendly games, but we will have to blame that on Pride.

Not good for the fans to get to, but a weekend away for the team to bond on the road before the season starts, with a few new faces probably aboard, so a means to an end!?

There'll be a lot more at Gay Pride than Withdean.

Yeah, it might be uninspiring but they did completely outclass us in most departments twice last season, so it will be a good test and a marker to how far we've come since then.

 spot on in my opinion. It is nice to play decent teams at Withdean, but this looks like a productive fixture that should give the team a decent test before the start of the season.

Do people really get that excited about playing the likes of Ipswich, Charlton, Reading in friendlies?

Just hope that we play some matches at Withdean behind closed doors, as it is a strange enviroment for new players to get used to...

In a way it may be a blessing as come first game of the season more people will be inclined to go as they may not have seen any of the players, as last year we seemed to do a tour of sussex thus meaning most people got to at least 1 friendly.
