One of lifes great delights and something fundamentally English that we all should be proud of.

Where is the most exotic place you've ever eaten a sausage roll??

???

I bloody love sausage rolls, me. Have to hide them from my gf though, she's worried about my heart. :nono:

Most exotic place consumed? Hmmm - probably in the Floral bar of the Royal Opera House.

(yes, I know I've been caught, but I don't care)

Goldstone1976 thought the sausage rolls at some riverside pub pre-Fulham were so good that he even bought one for the vegetarian. I think. Or he threatened too.

I'll admit they did look good though.

On the subject of sausage roll, that heavyweight on offer in Dick's Bar is pretty expensive but is certainly solid fayre and certainly lines the stomach for a few beers.

Had a nice one skiing in Sweden.

The ones at the Amex earlier in the season were fantastic, they don't seem to have been selling them in the North recently though.

Gutted that I can no longer partake of aforementioned delicacy due to the wheat content. Gluten free sausage rolls just don't cut the mustard

Love a sausage roll. Anyone who works up in canary wharf should check out this guy- http://mypie.london/

His pies are fantastic as well. His van is usually down by West India Quay every Wednesday as part of the kerb food gang. http://www.kerbfood.com/kerb-on-the-quay/
SAUSAGE ROLLS-
Free range pork, Jalapeños, cheese £2.50, We make the puff pastry and mince our own meat.

Northampton rugby club also make awesome sausage rolls if anyone find themselves at one of their games.

I work up here. I was wondering what to go for at lunch. I'll pop down and sample his wares. :)

...and something fundamentally English...

Not quite. They have them here in the Netherlands too, where they are called saucijzenbroodjes. I had a very good one yesterday.

Not to be confused with worstenbroodjes, which sound like sausage rolls, but are actually piss-poor bland variants on a hot dog, with none of the redeeming toppings.
