Probably a topic at the dinner table but generally speaking I think its like in most cases when you work for a big company with shady owners... as long as they don't show up every day, and your colleagues are nice and you can pay the rent and so on - might just shrug and get on with it.

NUFC have an LBGTQ+ supporters' group (United with Pride). They, of all people, had the chance to make a stand when the takeover happened.

However:

United with Pride released a statement on the day the takeover was completed, welcoming the new owners and expressing the hope that working with them could end up being "a positive influence to improving the conditions for the LGBTQ+ community in Saudi Arabia".

Stoning is still legal in Saudi though is only occasionally used these days; they mainly rely on beheading and in March executed 81 people in one day for a range of 'crimes' including "participating in sit-ins and protests". Those executed are usually from the Shia minority. Toon Army...

Well, tbf in the context... not some sort of fairness directed to Nazi Germany. And yes I know about those things, but what I'm saying is that if they had "just" stayed at home killing German Jews, Romanis, homosexuals and others they didn't like, I'm not too sure anyone would have stopped them. Sweden-Germany relations were a bit more complex than that but essentially you're right.
