He is male, so should be eligible to qualify for the male category?
I think science backs me up here.
If science could learn to express itself in clearly understandable language, science might be doing a better job! Unfortunately gobbledygook is not a recognised subject in GCSEs.Think again, this is what science says:
“The available research indicates that the brain structure of androphilic trans women with early-onset gender dysphoria is closer to the brain structure of cisgender women's and less like cisgender men's.[2] It also reports that both androphilic trans women and trans women with late-onset gender dysphoria who are gynephilic have different brain phenotypes, and that gynephilic trans women differ from both cisgender male and female controls in non-dimorphic brain areas.” wiki

Simply put, your gender is your brain, not your body or sexual organs.

If you are sure that they have a male brain, that’s your opinion. There has been some great research into how embryos form and that possibly in trans people, certain hormones are not getting to their brains in the early development, hormones that ensure that the gender (brain) is the same as the sexual organs.
Here's what the English language says. Gender - male or female as defined by whether you have a Y chromosome (male) or not (female). There are no third options.Think again, this is what science says:

Certainly not backing you up if you are referring to their gender (between the ears not the legs). If you are referring to their sex, I take it you have intimate knowledge of their undercarriage?
It really isn't - your gender is defined at birth, and not by your brain. I recognise that some people are uncomfortable with the gender they are born with, and for some that will be a bigger problem than for others. It doesn't change their biological gender though.Simply put, your gender is your brain, not your body or sexual organs.

The Brits have called it just right - no 'rethinking' for next year needed.
Yes, there are very rare scientific anomalies. And yes, he may be an example of one.
But in all probability - he has a penis and an xy chromosome, and so is male.
If he has a vagina and an xx chromosome then I'm sure he will be allowed to compete in the female category. But let's be honest with ourselves here, he doesn't does he.
