Yep, 1991, 5 of us brought date relabled sandwiches from the news agent at the back of the old Argus building (name of the street escapes me, where the Basketmakers is/was) end result was 2 deaths and 3 of us in hospitals across Sussex. I lost 20 lbs in weight in 7 days, and ended up in intensive care for 3 days...off work for 8 weeks and still to this day anything slightly dodgy goes through quicker than I want.
Made the news, printed media etc but the worst part was the onset, came on very quickly on the train back to Seaford, on the way home from work, crapped myself, chundered and passed out between Newhaven and Seaford, came around to a conductor looking down at me giving me grief because he thought I was drunk...
