Possibly one of the best and most underrated bands ever. A few members went on to form The Aloof. Hail the genius.

Andrew Weatherall, proper genius.

Smokebelch is up there with the best electronic pieces of music ever.

Possibly my favourite song of all time. Theme is also great even if it did feature in that pile of shit Shopping.

Have you checked out much of Weatheralls later stuff with Two Lone Swordsmen? Its out there but I think its class.

No. I got Sabresonic years ago but purchased Haunted Dancefloor last week and it reminded me how great they were. I was reading up on them last night and will definately check out Two Lone Swordsmen. Is it still electronica?

Early stuff is very much Electronic and imo better, newer stuff from Double Gone Chapel onwards more a mash up of guitars and all sorts.

Sounds interesting, quite like a bit of a sound mash up.

I bought the aloof album a few years back and took it back. One Night Stand is amazing but the rest was likea watered down version of it.

I think The Aloof were going the same time as Sabres, if not before. 'On a Mission' was certainly out before Smokbelch and Im preety sure Kooner and Burns were with them then.

I like the Aloof muchly. Did they sound anything like them?

The Aloof were much more ambient and used vocals.

Two Lone Swordsmen did a wicked remix of Texas song put#

They did indeed. What do you reckon the new Happy Mondays Album is going ot be like?

If it ever comes out, I think it will be pretty good. Ive heard 2 tracks and they are up there with the best, so its a case of wait and see.
