Rutting Deer!

Anyone know a good location to photograph rutting deer in Sussex? Am an amateur photographer looking for a good location, nearest I've been told about is Richmond Park in London.

Was over at Petworth last weekend and there were loads of deer in Petworth Park, no doubt there is some seriously HORNY stuff going on there at present....

I would have thought Petworth Park is a good place to see a bit of Rutting.

I must say i have locked horns with the opposition up there more than once.

I love rutting.

Knowle House advertise walks around Knowle Park to watch this. Guided tours were this weekend so assume now would be an ideal time. Knowle House is in the middle of Sevenoaks - so not far outside of Sussex.

Petworth is definitely the place. Great location and guaranteed deer. Perfect for photography.

We occasionally get muntjac the other side of our garden fence, but I've never seen them rutting.

Looking at how the population of muntjac spread across Sussex between 2000 and 2007, it's obvious that they do, though.

Wadhurst Park which lies to the south of Wadhurst. Witnessed it a few years back, though I heard more than saw.

Petworth is the place to be, they go mental as well when at it - quite frightening and would make CPFC look like pussies

Another vote for Petworth Park, seriously big herd largely out in the open. Stunning walks in autumn too.
