will they make the opposite available? Like if someone fancied being fabulous for a day or something

There have been some truly wonderful posts in this thread but for me. This is THE best. :lolol:

Homosexuality is not a disease, so it can not be cured. Russia is having a nightmare over this one.

The clinical trials will be interesting. How will they test for efficacy?

the methodology behind this would be the most interesting part of the exercise.

everyone gets indignant about such the subject, end of the day we dont actually *know* why some people are homosexual. both sides of the nature/nuture debate lead to unpalatable outcomes, you can either check for it pre-birth or cure it post-birth.

the better issue is to ask, why do we care? and decide that we dont really.

Quackwatch alert central. Will they be selling this soma with vodka? Does it presuppose that there is a gay gene? Interesting questions, because the idea that this exists is a fantasy. Rice plants have more genes than humans, of course you can find functions for some of these, but contrary to many mechanistic biologists, quantifying human nature is an impossibility. Methinks this will go the way of theories of Lysenko, abiotic oil and the Russian antigravity machine.

That's easy for you to say.

.

We do know why some people are homosexual. The men like cock and the gals like fanny. It's not really worth any more debate. However it is very amusing to kick it about on here.

It could be however be identified within the womb and parents could then decide if they wished to abort the foetus or not.

We're already going down the path of designers babies as it is.

My Gay mate reckons they have...he calls it vodka and an opportunity!

I used to have some mates who maintained that you were only gay if you took it. Public school boys with public school rules I think

I can't believe that they have anything more than a chemical which suppresses ALL sexual desires as an anti-gay drug seems an impossibility based on my understanding of the psychology/physiology involved (subsidary subject to my degree and having known a few over the years). But given that "gayness" is a spectrum ranging from a once in a lifetime, one night stand to exclusively homosexual since birth, I'd suggest that there are multiple chemical and neurological things at play and to shut the correct combination off, you'd need to shut down sexual desire completely.

Not so much a "cure", more sweeping it under the carpet!

That sounded like one of the prank calls you hear on YouTube. Unbelievable.

That being said. What do you think they'd call the "medicine"? I'm going with GAY AWAY.

Let them try it. It might work. This is how breakthroughs are made, how one belief is replaced with another.

I'm sure part of the Russian (etc) attitudes is just to be contrary to the West. God help us if we all agreed on something.

Bonehead and Foil were infected with the 'gay serum' in Comic Strip presents ' The Bullshitters' and that film was made in the '80s so it's nothing new.

One of the finest films ever made that was.
