That's a good point.Yes, indeed it was.
I guess the article just points out that Russia constantly says the war is all because NATO threatens them
with invasion ....and now they've just withdrawn from that border.
We could spend our whole lives pointing out the inconsistencies in Russian policy, and some of us give it a good go on here!
Maybe it's just a simple matter of Russia losing the war, and it feels the need to redeploy them to where they are needed - Ukraine.
Three news snippets to support this:
1. Putin recently gave a speech, in which he speculated on a strategic defeat for Russia.
2. Belousov attended a project to build some new barracks for a brigade, made a veiled threat to those in charge of the build to finish it on time, and said that 'soon people will be returning'. What did he mean?
3. A Russian soldier, injured in combat, was not allowed home leave. He posted a video, saying his unit contained others injured, one on crutches, who couldn't walk or fire a weapon.
Look beyond the bravado and faux confidence, and Russia is looking increasingly desperate. The signs are there.
