I cannot imagine the terror of being uprooted from your home, your family, your job, your life - to be thrown into the front line of the human meat-grinder in Ukraine, with minimal training, to fight for that piece of filth Putin in an illegal war against your neighbours.

No wonder its all kicking off. It seems the russian people have tried to turn a blind eye to what he is doing to the people of Ukraine. But when the body bags start coming back from the conscripted recruits, there will be open revolt. Putin will be isolated and condemned on the international stage, as well as in his homeland. I hope this is the beginning of the end for him.

Well whether they bring them back or not, when forced conscripted civilians who have been literally thrown into this mess end up as corpses alongside the military casualties waging this war, I would expect the domestic reaction in Russia to be visceral. Putin could end up with what amounts to a civil war within his own country against his own goons, as well as the one he is waging in Ukraine.
