This is definitely a false flag assignation attempt to kill her father who as others have alluded to is surplus to requirements, especially as he was influential in pro russian expansionism and harking back to the old nationalistic days of the soviet union, now it is not going so well Putin probably blames him and his ilk now it is not going to plan.

Russia also says that the counter attack failed with heavy Ukrainian losses.

Let’s be honest, in war both sides are economical with the truth to protect morale. We just have to weigh up all the conflicting reports and make a judgment from them.

The chairman of Russia’s second-largest oil producer Lukoil, Ravil Maganov, has died after falling from a hospital window in Moscow, according to reports.
The company confirmed his death but said Maganov, 67, had died following a “serious illness”.
Several Russian outlets reported that he died after falling out of a window of a Moscow hospital. According to the Russian state-owned news agency Tass, Maganov had taken his own life.
Maganov is the second top LUKoil executive to die in mysterious circumstances in recent months, after the billionaire Alexander Subbotin was found dead in a shaman’s home in Mytishchi in May.
Lukoil was one of the few major Russian companies to call for an end to the Ukraine war. In March, it released a statement calling for a “fast resolution” to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and expressing its “sincere empathy for all victims, who are affected by this tragedy”.

Reports suggesting the 2nd line of defence has been breached in places. News blackout from the Ukrainian side which makes sense. Ukrinform.net is normally very informative but is all quiet on this situation. V disciplined. Reading that the terrain has a lot of wide drainage ditches so not suitable for armoured warfare. Will more than likely be an infantry slog, so could be slow and bloody. Good luck to the Ukrainian grunts, hope the Russians break with the threat of encirclement. Read a while back their command HQ have been moved back east of the Dnieper. Would hardly help morale if so.
