West is BEST
High Mobility Artillery Rocket System
Multiple Launch Rocket Sysyem

They’re those ones with a huge battery of missiles in a block on the back of a truck.

I believe they have just taken delivery of some pretty devastating hardware. And they are not going to hang about in using it.

I was thinking it had gone a bit quiet, apart from the odd missile attack from Russia on soft targets.

I guess this is the escalation of the war, the rhetoric, the threats. A dangerous period.

The HIMARS are devasting as they are mobile and out range the Russian guns. Fire and move.

They can really only be taken out by special forces or Russian aircraft - and the Russian Air Force don't seem to fancy the job.

And i'm sure the Ukranians will be heavily defending a resource so valuable.

I'll happily pay more tax to get Ukraine a load more of them!

British aid worker captured by Putin-backed separatists in Ukraine has died while held in custody accused of 'mercenary activities', Russian media claims

Paul Urey, British aid worker captured by separatists in Ukraine, died in detention
So-called Donetsk People's Republic said he died of 'illness and stress' on July 10
Mr Urey was captured in April while trying to help civilians in southern Ukraine
But separatists accused him of being a professional mercenary and planned to put him on trial in their kangaroo court, where he faced the death penalty

Why are they announcing their intentions in advance via The Times?

communicate with supporters in the west that they intend to go on the offensive and drive the supply of arms.

Not sure if this summary has been posted, I thought it was a good read Logistics Collapse - https://nadinbrzezinski.medium.com/logistics-collapse-945984f5d48e

So many promising points made in this post and this one is my favourite.
”August will be really bad. We will not see new equipment, and there will be nothing and nothing to repair the old one. If the Armed Forces of Ukraine go forward at this moment, then we will have nothing to stop them, ”says another Russian staff officer.

In one of the twitter accounts, and I can't remember which one now, there was a thread about this in May, when the prediction of a Russian collapse in August was first mentioned. It all stems from an American academic military theory that, IIRC involves statistics and heavy duty maths, models logistics and other stuff and draws a three dimensional, time based mathematical surface representing the overall state of the army in question. It's this model model that predicts the timing, when the surface of the mathematical model reaches its minimum point.
As a science nerd, I love this sort of stuff, as it's a a theory being tested in real life.

Well hang on, if there's one thing we know about the Russians is that they will sow disinformation on an industrial scale. Ukraine should be wary
