When we get back in the same Division as Palace i will renew hostilities with them.....until then...

Chances are though looking at the job Taylor is doing at Palace we are more likely to meet them in League 1 in 12 months time.

Seriously you havent bought anyone i have heard of and keep selling your players....worrying times for a Palace fan i would think

The situation as regards you being above us was the exact reverse when I first started supporting The Albion and our main rivals were Pompey but somehow during the 70s this changed.

I am one of the few BHA fans that has no great axe to grind with Palace but dislike Pompey immensly.

The vast majority that stand up at Withdean singing ' if you all hate Palace stand up' can hardly remember playing them. It must be the same at Selhurst.

It really manufactured itself after the infamous Cup Replay at Stamford Bridge, Ron Challis, Alan Mullery, five pound notes etc etc. When i first started going to Palace it was always Millwall who were the hated rivals, and to many it still is. And you are quite right to some extent many Palace fans just don't get the Brighton rivalry as you quite rightly say a lot of fans have only known these 4 games against you.

We let 5 go who were out of contract and who Taylor didn't want and Borrowdale, Ward and McAnuff have been sold to allow for new faces to come in. Parachute payments have stopped you have to cut your cloth accordingly, you can't keep splashing £2.5m on players when you aren't in the Premiership its economic suicide. We have bought 2 in and there will be 3 more according to Jordan and one of them is rumoured to be Scott Sinclair from Chelsea. Who knows, we shall see.

not a cat in hells chance of getting Sinclair of Chelsea, he will be a first team squad player this year for them i would think. IF you get him it will be a short term loan at best.

Face it your in shit street this season, if Taylor lasts till Xmas i will be amazed, and that will only mean one thing...your struggling

Who have you brought in.....im guessing its league 1 players and below as i havent heard of them.

Selhurst Park gets tattier by the year...soon you will be casting very envious eyes in our direction i believe.

A recent poll of London supporters in the Evening Standard confirmed Brighton to be the most hated team in Selhurst.

It is a rumour with a degree of possibility about it. Birmingham being gradually taken over, potential go ahead for Falmer, lives locally. I for one would be quite happy if it was true. Add all that up and it is therefore bound NOT to happen.

Anyone who is an established chairman or director..has a good pedegree in the game, isnt afraid to get his money out to improve the squad and isnt in it to screw us over like the two scumbags of 10 years ago should be welcomed with open arms...

With all due respect i live in the now not 50 or 60 years ago, Burnley, Blackpool and Preston used to beat Manchester United and Arsenal regularly then, they don't do it now do they?

The facts are for 17 seasons our two clubs have played each other FOUR times, due to yourselves (and yes i understand there have been circumstances out of Brighton's control for a decade of that time) playing in a division or more lower than Palace.

I would like nothing more than for the old rivalry to be reignited by playing each other more regularly, but getting Falmer is just the first of many long steps your club will have to take.

Let me say now though i genuinely hope the answer is a resounding Yes and you can start to rebuild your club again.

Cheers, SJ's LM.

Btw, if your livin' in 'the now' it's 0-0 between us (or 1-1 if you go back to the last matches only)

spoke to someone today who is very close to the Board at Birmingham City and says the Golds will invest in Charlton when they do pull out of the Midlands. Said he had never heard them or Sullivan talk about us although they have looked at Millwall apparently:glare:

Interesting, having Falmer might well change things though, for lots of potential investers.
