In other news, the European Ryder Cup team have sensationally offered to pick at least 5 Yorkshiremen for the 2008 tournament, in a bid to even up the contest.

Difficult question to answer.

I guess I'd have to go for cricket as I just love the game but I do really enjoy Rugby (Union)

Been to Twickenham a few times and have also been to see Wasps at Wycombe and it really is a cracking day out (drinking beer whilst watching the game!) :drink:

You should all try it sometime (but steer clear of that foreign team that play at Reading)

has to be cricket by a country mile, i'll watch rugby if its on but only if there isnt nything better. whereas with cricket if i'm not watching it i'll be following it online or on the radio. great game and not much beats the atmosphere at Lords

Out of the 2 I'd take cricket. I don't like cricket.....I love it.

However Rugby Union is probably my third favourite sport after cricket and football. I played at school for a while and we had a pretty decent side (and it was a comprehensive) but I never really got in to watching it until I moved to Oz a few years ago. In those pre-A League and Bleedin Butcher days the one way to watch decent sport and have a pint at the same time was to get down to Aussie Stadium and watch the Waratahs in the Super 12. A season of watching top level rugby will make you appreciate just how fast and skilful it can be at times. A year later and being in a pub full of Aussies in Roppongi when Wilko kicked the winning drop goal for us in the World Cup nailed it for me. I even understand a few of the rules now.....

Cricket by miles, in fact rugby doesn't even register for me at all.

I grew up at a school dominated by rugby so played it for about 5 years and was fairly good at it but I looked forward to the summer when the rugby pitches were removed and cricket took its place.

Now I totally dislike rugby and love cricket.

Neither are a pathc on football though.
