I wonder if that little chap was manufactured by R.E.V. Gomm? The Birmingham based company have been purveyors of metal badges since their inception in 1908, and are still going strong well over a century later.

They were well known for making football club badges, and l can remember purchasing one from the club shop of every away ground l visited back in the 1970's and 80's. They don't seem as popular as they once were, given the plethora of plastic souvenirs now available, but l'm assured that the company is still very much alive and well.

A lot of motorway service stations sell them, which is why our away fans on the coaches can be seen wearing them.

They've had them in the RSPB charity box in the Battle of Trafalgar for quite a few years now.

Although, most of the time they don't have them, as they've been nabbed by others.
