In Chapter 68 of Peter James' new book "Dead Man's Time", Roy Grace pays his first trip to the Amex. The match is a nil nil bore with Gus going nuts when one of our players gets booked.

Grace sits in the CCTV room watching a suspect who sits in the West Stand.

Fantastic job from the author who bigs up The Albion and The Amex on and off throughout the book.

Peter James after free season ticket ??

I think he already is a season ticket holder.

Heard him interviewed on local radio a few months ago and he said he only went to the Amex to research for his next book (obviously the one out now).

He'd never been interested in football before but got hooked and now goes to most games.

Yes and the suspect is lost amongst the (smallish) crowds of other lowlives.

t'was a tongue in cheek suggestion........don't really care whether he has or not got one already.......but thanks for letting me know..:ffsparr:

You never come out of it well Norman, you are sexist and a racist. Just like most of the old bill at your age.:p

On a serious note, I stopped reading books for a good while. but the Roy Grace series has got me back into reading again.:clap2:
