Evening gents.

Our tickets went on sale yesterday to season ticket holders and so far we have sold just over 600,they will go on general sale on monday if theres any left...So we will easily sell out our first batch at least..

Really looking forward to this one as i remember the hard times we both had during those dark days, and the support both sets of fans gave each over..
Of course a lot of fans on both sides are too young to remember how depressing that all was and if you would have told me then that in a few years time we would both be playing championship football, in new grounds who would have believed?
Coming down with the old brigade for a full weekend of it and looking forward to the occasion, dont want to spoil your day so i will take a draw lol
Enjoy...:lolol:

Cheers, mate - you'll all be very welcome and hope you sell at least 1000-1500 to add to the occasion. It's going to be quite a day :amex: :amex:

Sounds like you'll have a good following and hope you have a great day out in East Sussex. Apart from losing the game obviously. :amex:

I can't see Doncaster getting any more tickets unless they guarantee to sell out, too much demand from home fans to allow empty spaces in the South Stand.

League rules entitle them to 10% don't they?

However, this appears to be such a mutual love-in that it wouldn't surprise me if Donny agree to stick at 1,000 to allow as many Seagulls fans as possible to enjoy the big day.

How would people missing out on tickets feel if they see hundreds of empty seats in the South ? No way will Doncaster sell 2500

I don't think they would sell 2500 - or ask for them - but they would be entitled to do so if they were confident of shifting them.

The problem may be that if they go beyond a certain number (1,000, 1,500?) by asking for say 1750, that may screw up the ability to split the seats and concourse to allow both home and away fans to use the South Stand.

I hope they sell out. In the 25 years I have been an Albion fan and STH I have never met a bunch of friendlier fans who had a similar struggle to us, but who gave support when they didn't really need to. It is just great to see us both doing well again, both with good homes and it would make the atmosphere even more special to see a sell out in the home and away stands at the Amex. Ps still want us to win though lol.

If they sold say 1500 do you think the club would still segregate? Obviously you'll lose some seats in segregation but this would leave 500 - 800 or so extra seats for our fans to enjoy the big day?!

Surely a nice hot summers day in Brighton, first day of the season, brand new stadium I'm sure they would... wouldn't they?

Any idea when this day is going to happen?

Apparently God, or whoever controls the weather, has scheduled the next one in for 5th July 2013 although it will cloud over a bit in the morning before the sun breaks through strongly at around 11:40am.

Should imagine a fair few people are going to be on their holidays when the Donny game's on.
