I usually pour scorn on such threads, but there really are a multitude of routes to Hull.

I've decided to do:
A23 - M23 - M25 - M11 - A14 - A1 - A46 - A15 - A1105 on the way (254 miles)

A63 - M62 - M18 - M1 - M69 - A46 - M40 - M25 - M23 - A23 on the way back (294 miles).

Thoughts?

Anyone know of any major roadworks that I should know about?

Any particular reason you've chosen to do an extra 40 miles on the way back. As it is motorway, presumably it isn't a more scenic route?

Heck of a round trip. Can you pick me up some Devon clotted cream on the way through, please.

There's 35 miles of single carriageway on the route up, but I wanted to see the Humber Bridge. The M40 way is generally my preferred route for going oop north (generally much better than the M1).

Why would you go up the M1 to 'Ull? All about the M11 A14 A1 M18 M62

My company HQ is in Hull. I've tried all the options. Consistently the quickest (from T Wells - but similar for Brighton I would think) is:

M25; M11; A14; A1(M); M18; M62.

But there are many ways to skin a cat. Cheapest way is via Hull Trains - can get some great prices if you book ahead.
