rooney deserved sending off no question just for the stamp. but i think the ref actually didnt spot that and then sent him off for the push afterwards.
and i thought we had been practising penaltys? if so didnt anybody tell carragher that he had to wait for the refs whistle. it was obvious he would miss the 2nd effort as ricardo had already worked out what he was gonna try to do.
after saying that we were not gonna win the world cup anyway. the way we have played has been shocking. add that to rooney and terry suspended, owen injured and beckham probably out aswell. we were not really gonna trouble france nevermind brazil.

To say he cost us the game is daft, we rose our game after the sending off. But to call him a prick is not only hypocrisy of the highest order, but also a ridiculous statement. He's the best England footballer around right now, and WANTED it just as much as any of us.
I feel for him if he's going to get stick from people like you - I've done exactly that kind of thing when playing football, and i don't hold the bloke at all responsible for our defeat.
Once again, that bit of luck in the shoot out cost us.
