"It is understood United's doctor Tony Gill and physio Rob Swire, England team doctor Leif Sward and other specialists are currently at the hospital - along with an independent consultant who will be brought into play if club and country cannot agree on the results of the scan."

THAT is why there is a delay, i'd bet my little finger on it

My dad said the independant consultant is from FIFA.

He reckons that if Man U and England can't agree, FIFA will decide he is not fit. (So if Wayne aggrivates his injury, they wont be liable)
