And here is the latest news:

A prison van and a concrete mixer have collided on the M6. Police are still looking for a number of hardened criminals.

or

A break in at New Scotland Yard today has resulted in all the toilets being stolen.

Police admit they have nothing to go on.

The old ones are the best!

so many great sketches, but personally.. I think his coffin should be laid to rest by the light for four candels..

Has anyone got a link for that 'mastermind' sketch.. where he answers the question before the current question. That is the world record holder for puns per second.

Legend is a very overused word these days, Ronnie Barker was a true one. RIP one of the funniest men ever.

Probably the first announcement of a celebrity death that has upset me since Freddie Mercury.

You still see lots of him on UK Gold and I personally never get bored of it.

One of the funniest people ever, I could go on all night but the pick of characters for me was Fletcher.

Still probably the funniest situation comedy show ever after all these years.

One other great attribute was his loyalty to the BBC, had he switched channels the quality would of dropped but thankfully he always remained loyal to his paymaster.

A tragic loss to British Comedy but I expect he would have been happy we all have a chuckle in our memories.

RIP

When Godber was boxing for his prison wing Fletcher told a tale to Mckay about a boxer who carried on boxing when older and went mad:

Mckay: "and what became of him"
Fletcher: "heard he joined the prison service and became a Warden, doing rather well by all accounts"

Priceless humour :lolol: :lolol:
