No-one else trying for MyAlbion+pts tickets this morning?

Apparently were about 50 available. Managed to get onto site fairly easily and quickly but no tickets left. (Having the green "BUY" button available when it should be the grey "SOLD OUT" button raises false hope...:()

Waiting list got devastated by covid lockdowns and hasn't existed for a couple of seasons. Might be back now but definitely wasn't around when he got his ST. A few of Ronald's away tickets in early days were player comps from the South American players. Got friends with a similar timeline of getting a ST and then doing all the "unappealing" aways, plus cup matches, who have got enough points now to be first tier for Roma. Yes it costs money but that is what the points are rewarding and presumably for Ronald it is an investment as the views of his videos will bring some income in from YouTube.
And it is worth noting that those tickets would NOT have earned him any points, so he's built those up buying for enough additional games, besides those.

Just logged on to check and same for me. I'm guessing the match isn't "sold out" as there may be some tickets in baskets but the transaction hasn't completed yet.

or even regularly since 1978...lol ... it's just a question
Well not regularly any more right?

I get you used to go a lot but I don’t think anyone here believes you should get priority for going to games 46 years ago. Whereas Ronald goes to every game, home and away, and because of that, has built up enough points to easily get tickets.

Personally, I’d say he has far more skin in the game these days than someone who gave up their season ticket because of Sami Hyppia.

I hit the front of the queue at about 9:03. Sold out. Given it 10mins of refreshing to see if anyone was unlucky enough to have their basket time out. No Joy.

Now have EasyJet tickets to Milan and train tickets to Rome that I probably won't use and are non-refundable. Can cancel the hotel room though. At least I already have a ticket for the home leg!

God sake, it's not ire, it's a simple example and observation in line with the topic being discussed.
If you say so mate. I think it may he that you're not the first person to specifically question the credentials of Roland - foreign fan who's a public figure - and relate to their own experience or loyalty. Maybe it's just because he's publicly available to be judged.

But as my post suggested, for every Rolland there is also a Tony and a Steve from Newhaven and Worthing who have an identical record, but no one is questioning their skin-in-the-gamery.

And I tell you what, no offence to theoretical Tony, but his YouTube channel from deepest Newhaven ain't drawing any new punters from the Americas.

I'd advise you to sit there hitting refresh on the ticket page until 11am in the hope some come available. In the previous tiers it was very erratic and numbers went up and down like mad.

I've managed to bag a ticket - any chance I can buy those travel tickets off you or are they already named?

Just keep sitting on the webpage all day and you'll get one. People would have put them in their baskets for friends but waiting to hear back from them before confirming the purchase. Keep the faith and patience my friend.

From @SeanInRome

"As for the ticket checking in the stadium, yes they do check and very strict on the names. I’ve been refused entry 2 or 3 times over the years when trying to get in with friends' tickets and their ID cards and one of my Man City groups 5/6 years ago about 7 of my 150 didn’t get inside the stadium. I have a Welsh friend here who has a season ticket for Roma and can’t even go to the game as he has a British document.

Any other questions feel free to ask away."

You say about identical people, but I know a couple of lads who were 17/18 when lockdown ended, and now they are in the top bracket despite not really doing many, if any away games before lockdown, its very achievable. Its why the system works, they have consistently attended northern away games and gained points.

Fair enough! Home end at your own risk it is! You'd think they'd not sell tickets to those with UK ID or addresses wouldn't you.

Although if I've already got flights and hotel booked and payed for I'd go and risk it and go and sit in a bar if I got turned away.

This is INSANE.
