Saw that posted a few days ago on another thread. I'm sure we'll hear something official from the club at some point today

That would be difficult to enforce. If you were born in Northern Ireland, but an Irish Republican and with an Irish passport, you would have been born in the United Kingdom but hold an EU and non U.K. passport and technically Irish so how are they going to handle those instances without jeopardising the peace process? They really haven’t thought it through, have they?

It won't be enforced it's just a deterrent

Or indeed, folk born in England, who have lived in Rome for 30 years and go to Roma matches...

To enforce the ‘born in the UK’ condition it will be necessary for all home fans to bring their passports to prove their birthplace. I’m not convinced this will happen.
Surely they will be able to just wear all black, gesticulate a lot with their hands, and pinch somebody on the bottom, to prove their credentials?

We're getting a shuttle!

An Irish person holding an Irish passport is able to buy a ticket in the Roma section as I’ve done many of times.
A British passport/Driving licence you’ll be blocked when filling out the details.
They are very strict at the turnstiles and your ID must match with the name on the ticket

It is enforced and anyone born in the country coming to play in the Olympic Stadium will be refused entry to the home team section.
My friend last year was refused at the gate when we went to watch a German team
Fair enough.

Hopefully we can get the full 5k tickets so nobody needs to try and enter the home section
