Seems like the stuff about the Ultras snapping up the entire Roma allocation could prove to be true...

What was it the managing director of Roma said this week? "Our fans know how to behave both in Italy and abroad"... yeah right

Should add a bit more spice to the game! Hope United do them over (at football!). Tossers.

Just put on Sky news - it doesn't look THAT bad in terms of violence???

Border country.East Preston.
Had to turn to Sky sports news for confirmatiom, and as yet have seen no "major trouble".
The day foreign fans come to this country and throw some punches i'll run naked across Old trafford.

I'm watching SSN. A Roma fan, scarf across face, just hit the tv camera

Remember that when Italian fans are involved in trouble, it's never ever their fault*. It's not the followers that say this (well they can't really considering in some cases that their "ultras" are organised underworld criminal gangs), so they leave it to their police, FA and stadium authorities to mop up and finger point (ideally, at the English).

*unless of course they're murdering their own police force with knives.

I'm not sure what the Roma fans are doing is sensible so early in the evening. The estates all around greater Manchester will empty as every wannabe hooligan from Utd,City,Wigan,Chester and all the rest will make a beeline for Old Trafford.

Heard that Boro will be there too, as a few of theirs got stabbed by Roma Ultras when they played them. There will probably be a massive 'off' before the night's out.

Unlike their fascist corrupt counterparts hopefully our old bill will be on top & throw the book at any dirty spick w@nker caught causing trouble! I doubt that any of their underworld criminal gangs will have much weight behind them over here!

I'd rather see our police just turn a blind eye while some good old British thugs kick the s**t out of their roman counterparts!

I can see Old Trafford from my office, helicopters and police all over the place.

It was a minor scuffles that has now been stopped

Dont anticipate much more grief pre-match!

I won't be hanging around after work however, Few Roma Fans I feel may not get in, on the other hand, in the stadium they can at least be contained!

According to radio 5, Man U wouldn't let the Roma fans in and they've just been drinking all day.

Read into that what you will.

It seems a number of Roma fans have gone to Manchester without tickets, and are angry they aren't being let into the ground.

What bright sparks they are.
