Just read the Youth team report and it said Robinson played and scored. It cant be Jake because if it is what a shit year for him being relegated from the first team then the first team squad and all the way back to the youth team.
Maybe he is not the saviour as many predicted at the start of the year

And if it was Jake it means that he has been given a chance to take a bit of pressure off the young lads shoulders as well as building his confidence

I shouldn't think it will do his confidence that much good being relegated to the youth team again.

It was Jake. Chance of a runout. It is not a backward step as such. Good for him to have a runout with the other lads of the future.

I wouldn't be too down hearted if I was him. They are a pretty good team.

Good move by whoever decideded to play him..... he looks short of confidence and goals..no matter what level will do him the world of good.

He has played very well at times for us.... against Palace away i thought he looked very good, however he seems to have suffered more than most from MM constant changing of his front two.

He seems to be the only one who hasn't had a run of games, unlike CKR and Gatting who have both got the nod in more than two games in a row.

Hopefully he will be back and better for the confidence of a few goals

any striker needs goals to gain confidence and it does not matter at what level you score as long as you do.

True but what message does it send to Jake if he is put back in the reserve team after being in and out of the first team for a season and a bit?

Personally I'd like to see him start alongside Noel-Williams, unfortunately he's not a McGhee signing.

He may well get his chance and Gatting will be moved back now we have someone who can hold the ball up. I think Jakey will play well alongside GNW and also think CKR will when he starts showing us what he is really capable of.

I actually felt Jakey would have been a better foil for GNW than CKR.

He gives 100% and is always full of running, has good movement and i think would benefit from playing alongside someone like Gifton.

CKR for me didn't put enough in on saturday.... lad has alot more quality than he shows sometimes, believe he will be a great asset to us but is not at his best with his back to defenders...takes his eye of the ball and becomes to worried about what the defender is doing rather than the ball.

I think one of the main reasons why CKR played saturday was because he & Gif are mates, it helps a new player if he is playing alongside someone he knows. I think in the coming weeks we will see 2 or 3 different people patnering Gif.
