Keith Allan had his moments, and obviously has his own way of playing the character, which is great in and of itself, but somehow it just doesn't seem as impressive compared to Rickman's version in the film.

suppose it can always get better,alan rickman was and still is the best sheriff of nottingham,the best bit of plumb in the mouth acting I have seen.

That was definitely entering the realms of "corny-ness", but it was a good, fun piece of Saturday night entertainment that crucially does not involve Ant or Dec, so it's a winner for me.

Rickman made that film enjoyable for me.

That was the kind of thing you could have imagined seeing in Robin Hood: Men In Tights, but just seemed wrong in a relatively serious adaptation.
