Just posted this is the other thread but more apt here.

Yeah, off to Bayern. Thanks for the memories. Big send off tomorrow please. Beat United and look upwards.

He was never staying.

Sorry to say, but feels like the beginning of the end, like when we sacked Laudrup.

Hope I'm wrong. You need to get someone to continue your current style.. someone like Russel Martin, Graham Potter... Knutsen, Pimienta
You are wrong.

We excel at continuity. Whilst you swans are quite good at it, we are the masters. We made the highest profit in Premier League history last season so I suspect any new manager will have a potential £100m war chest to play with (Caicedo transfer fee). You can’t compare Swans with Seagulls.

Always going to split opinions weather you support De Zerbi or blame bloom for not backing him better on ready made players
I don't have any issue with either side.

I felt it was a match made in heaven.
RDZ pushed Bloom and Bloom forced RDZ to be more pragmatic.

Both have learned a lot from the pst 2 years and I'm sure neither of them have any regrets

For those betting on Bayern, you’re running out of time to make much money.

as 10cc say, not in hove
Why would you not feel very strongly that the club you love appears to care more about its operating profit than it does about harbouring any ambitions in the game? RDZ was challenging the board on all our behalfs. We won't be seeing his likes again for a while
This is my view too. It's a very simplistic view oft expressed on here that some "struggle to undertsand our model", when it might just be that some struggle to understand how the model can run continuously. No doubt I'll have someone telling me I don't get it, but think first. The celebratory gloating that we made record PL profits of £123m and likely to be high again this year just don't seem a cause for fan celebration. Why should it? I'd like to have seen a chunk of that money invested in the team Kudus, Palmer, Dewsbury-Hall, etc so we could have been challenging this season. Instead we can clap the record profits. It doesn't make sense from a fan perspective. And now this. I can only imagine we have somebody line up and need to move quick, and have agreed compensation with DeZ new club, otherwise this makes no sense

I wouldn't worry about it, Hughton wasn't all that De Zerbi wasn't all that, the next chap might not be all that either, Tony Bloom is all that.
Yeah understood.

I'm not worried, but I make an emotional attachment to our managers.
I need a little time to readjust.

We likely will still be due compo and we are able to get his replacement in ASAP.
Doubt it…….’mutual agreement’ means us and DeZ have almost certainly reached a compromise over his exit. Most likely we’re not paying him (or not much) and he’s free to go. If TB sacked him he’d have to pay up his contract.

Relegation form for half of the season lucky to last this long.
Whilst I instinctively rail against this type of post.

I strongly suspect that it is a major factor in TBs decision.
RDZ massively overplayed his hand in the wake of Wolves/Fulham/Roma.
He needed to keep the dream alive in one of those competitions, but blew the season out and left himself in a very weak position.
