Just got back from my 1st trip to the big apple during my visit I went and paid my respects to ground zero I looked up on the list of names of lives lost just to check Roberts name had been added which it had ofcourse I had never met the guy but it realy hit home just how big this disaster was and although I love the albion so much it did make me think that there realy is more to life than football(well sometimes!) some people had left notes and items on a fence so I parted with my brighton scarf just so Robert nos we and the albion remember him and our thoughts still go out to his friends and family.

Well done for paying your respects.
It's good to know he is still being remembered.

Well done Huddersfield. I knew Rob a little. A couple of my mates went to his stag weekend in New York and loved the place as he did. Always remember being with one of them when Withdean stood in silence for him...the most moving moment at our temporary home!
I know the family still appreciate all the support of everyone on this site as I sat with them at the last REMF game.

Wonder what ever happened to the pages of NSC and the shirt that was left there?
I went there in 2002 but didn't go to ground zero, as it had turned into a giant souvenir stand which I found frankly, tacky.
I did however meet up with Zig and New York geezer [Paul, who himself survived the twin towers]
What ever happened to those fellas?, they did a lot of good work for the REMF.

I was in NY last October and made sure I went and paid my respects to all who died on 9/11 and especially to RE! Although I never knew him I feel I owed him that...

Are you coming down to the REMF game? The details are at the top of the forum.
