its complete bollocks. i mean, its just, crap. its not particularly catchy or anything. i;m no fan of pop music but i wouldnt put something down just for my dislike of the genre, but this is just so souless and crap it just defies believe.
i hope his career bombs cos they've been crap for quite a while now(his songs). i didnt like his earlier ones, but would admit they were good pop singles..these are just dire.

It's co-written with Stephen Duffy, who has made a living for the past fifteen years out of writing folky-pop angst (think Nick Drake) tunes with his band "The Lilac Time". Fact. But he also did an electric album with Nick Rhodes recently (they called themselves "The Devils") that wasn't very good. Fact.

I've not heard the new single, but I was expecting some folk-pop style angst. From what you say I guess it's not.
