might be past it, but you would rather not see him turn up at a playoff rival.

I have no idea how he got on abroad, but if he is anything as good as Kevin Phillips still, he'll be a threat.........unless he is still snorting, naughty naughty Robbie.

If injuries hadn't plagued his career he'd have been probably the best player of his generation. He didn't do much wrong in his spare time. He was a genius.

His goal on 37 seconds in this clip is still one of the best goals I've ever seen. Skill, audacity, accuracy. It was a shame for England.
And who the hell else did that against Schmeichel! Hehe.

If Robbie Fowler (last seen at Mongtong Utd* in the Thai Premier League) replaces ANY of the above, I'll be delighted.

* I don't think the DREAM move to the Kolkutta Camelians came off.

you'd expect someone of his quality to absolutely bang them in in places like Australia and Thailand, but his record is probably best described as "decent"

2009-10: 9 goals in 26 games
2010-11: 9 goals in 28 games
2011-12: 2 goals in 13 games

when he was last in England he scored 4 in 13 for Cardiff (2007-08) and 0 in 3 for Blackburn (2008)

his career went downhill surprisingly rapidly. I always found that odd because, whilst he was reasonably quick, he wasn't really reliant on pace (unlike say, Owen)....his game was more finishing and positioning. He was one of my favourite players growing up in what was a really entertaining Liverpool side (Collymore, Redknapp, Barnes, McManaman etc.). He has a lot of business ventures outside of football doesn't he? Maybe he just wasn't ever that fussed

Robbie Fowler would not cut it in the Championship. He was past it 10years ago, f*** knows what use he would be now. He is said to be the world's richest footballer, Due to his property empire. Why go to play in the championship on 10k a week. The legs have gone. Paul Scholes......... He aint

it would be interesting to compare him with Michael Owen, who has been playing for us since the last transfer window....... hasn't he?

He is still a legend and or though didn't do much at Cardiff or Blackburn or though 4 in 13 isn't bad that was at a time when he was trying to sort out if he should retire or not and Cary on with his houses had a lot on his mind now he is training with them just to get fit had no interested in playing again but I'm sure as hollaway has said he is one of the best in training he now thinks maybe I should give it another go if he plays for himself and cos he wants to I think he will score goals he's a finisher you don't lose that and he never had pace, if he gets a few goals for them that can only help them

I think he scored 4/5 outfield goals for Perth Glory the rest were all penalties.. Saying that I think if he is played correctly which Perth Glory didn't do he could be a decent signing.

Mate of mine from Fremantle said he was absolute pants for PG - to be honest this has all the makings of a publicity stunt. Certainly not going to worry overmuch that we "missed" the chance to sign him.
