'E's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! He is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace!
I was lucky enough to catch their reunion at the O2 a few years ago, it was sad seeing Terry Jones having difficulty completing this sketch even with prompts on the desk and chocolate boxes. Dementia is not fun.
RIP
A great comedy talent (and an accomplished scholar on the medieval period). So sad he was struck down by such a cruel disease and yes, it was sadly evident in the O2 shows.
I first saw him as a kid on this terrific documentary about Rupert Bear.
Once, before work in Leicester Square, I was getting my toasted bagel in a breakfast establishment, when I noticed Terry Gilliam was next to me. I summoned up the nerve to ask for an autograph, which he gave me. Then Terry Jones walked in to meet him, he thought I was with TG, and so shook my hand! I then proceeded to get TJ's autograph too, they were both very nice blokes.
