He really was one of a kind. Unmistakeable in his role in On the Waterfront and Heat of The Night. His 1992 hit Never saw a miracle still sends a shiver up my spine.
When he co-presented Record Breakers it was an unmissable part of my childhood and that appearance on Parkinson with Emu!!!!! Genius.
