Apologies to @Mustafa II as he has probably never heard of her, but others may be interested to note the passing of Dame Joan Plowright, who as well as her many acting achievements was also a former Brighton resident when she lived with her husband, the distinguished actor Lord Laurence Olivier ( @Mustafa II : "who??") in Royal Crescent, ( @Mustafa II : "where??") on Brighton seafront

I've no idea. She was only 95 so her death was something of a shock to me too.

If you're interested the full movie of "The Entertainer", the 1960 film starring Larry and Joan is available here (you have to ignore the Spanish subtitles).....

Enchanted April appears to share a few similar themes with another of Dame Joan's films, "Tea with Mussolini"... a group of English women in Italy, between WW1 and WW2.I will find time. This won many awards and is still highly rated now.
