So sad to hear and read of the great man's passing. I listed to 'The Wanderer' on the train back from Perth this afternoon, fabulous and warmingly reflective (perversely).

Independent did a good tribute yesterday.

We put him on quite a few times at our local club in Glasgow and each time he was memorably superb.

Saw him once supporting Bruce Cockburn possibly at The Barbican. Think I also saw him in Brighton once. Got a couple of his albums. He was good, but I'm not sure that he was great.
