Wonderful nostalgia above.

Jim Parks Jnr once told me of the first time Sussex faced him at Northampton. Believed to be the fastest bowler they had ever seen, the dressing room was in fear when Keith Andrew walked back a huge distance to keep to the first deliveries.

RIP Mr Tyson. Player from a different era. No helmets or body armour against the fastest bowler of his time if not ever.

What a wonderful video clip. Lived at home with his mother, used wooden clubs to strengthen his bowling arm, and worn steel toe cap boots. Great stuff. RIP Sir.

The likes of Keith Miller and Richie Benaud said he was the quickest they had ever faced. Didn't know we had lost him. Must have been a good age?
