Having lived there for a few years I can concur, it works a treat, although this is somewhat choreographed. The main difference to here is that the cycle lanes in main areas are actually separate roads from the motor vehicle lanes, with their own rules and signals. Also, they used to allow 50cc mopeds to ride on the cycle lanes. Makes it all a lot safer for cyclists.
