Added to the 2 we've already made of course.

Of course, we got that business done early and without expense leaving the rest of the window to address the 2 weak spots. As good a couple of signings as Lallana and Veltman are, its the other 2 spots where the budget needs to be spent.

Sky Sports News reporting we're in for him but Naylor ruled it out last week? I'm really starting to warm to the idea of March in LWB but even so it's great to have more than one option. Burn won't play left wing back.. He works as a left back in a back four though and could also cover the starting centre backs. Every great team needs versatile players like March, Burn, Alzate who are quite happy to come in and do a job wherever they're required.

here's the real good bit- Sky say he's valued at about £7M by Brentford. That is ridiculously good value. Naylor did say no, but he also said that we were aware of him ('on our list', as it were). And he's got a very suspect record with denying our interest in players.

I think he's pretty much exactly what we're after and at that price seems too good to be true. 5 at the back of Lamptey, White, Dunk, Webster, Henry don't think you'd find a more exciting backline in football.

Absolutely no chance, that Rico Henry is available for £7m. Double that, at least.

Looking at Brentford's model it wouldn't surprise me if they already have a replacement. I agree though I think he's worth a lot more. Although this is double what we paid for Lamptey..

He was written off by Naylor a few days ago.

Curious tweet because admits there has been interest in the past ???
So could always change.

Would love to get a good look at these lists!
Mind you, I like the way our club does business all hush hush.

So who would he choose out of the reported interested clubs.

Brighton
Leeds
WBA
Villa

He's a Birmingham supporter BUT might value living in Birmingham more than that allegiance.

...but if he wanted to move close to home, WBA is only down the road.

Then there's Leeds that every player in the world wants to play for.

I think our image is great at the moment. It's clear that players really want to play for us. We're getting a reputation for good football and developing young talent. Maybe he has a network in London now too, so is happy to stay down south.

Plus no doubt Maupay can put in a good word for us...?

If Leeds are seriously interested (and not just mentioned for clickbait) then I expect them to throw silly money at it, driving the price up.

We're 10 days away from the start of the season, they've lost their linchpin CB loanee who helped (ensured?) promotion, they've signed only two first team players since promotion, and Bielsa hasn't signed his contract.

I'm not suggesting you're getting carried away here, but some people might argue there's a tiny case for Robertson/ Van Dijk/ AN Other/ Alexander-Arnold at this juncture. Or the Bayern Munich backline, at a push.

And who could forget Dallas, Ayling, Cooper and Koch.

Mate of mine is a steward at Brentford he text me to say he’s signing for us. He was right about Maupay that’s all I’m saying.

Not disputing your Maupay story, but I'd be genuinely fascinated to learn the chain of information that leads to a matchday steward- who presumably hasn't even worked at the club for six months now- knowing Brentford's inside transfer gossip :)

To whom do you refer / suggest ?

If we are looking for a LB / LWB. to match TL on the other flank
Rico fits the bill IMHO

Never said I had the answer.

But £15m is a lot of money for a LWB/LB, given that we haven't spent much more on that on attacking positions.

I wonder if there isn't better value abroad. What happened to the Spanish chap we were looking at?

If March is our best option at LWB then we might as well give up now and get ready for the Championship. He is not good enough to be a Premier League player.
