6 months? Would prefer 1-2 years, and sure thats what he's looking for. Would be great cover, especially if a) takes a wage cut and b) offers us another option in midfield. I know a theres the anti-richards crowd but I rate him.

Think he would do a job as our left winger but covering at left-back until Jimmy mac is fit again. Something like this:

DM: Dicker
RM: Cox
LM: Richards
AM: Forster*

* This is with the current squad, we bring in a right winger we can put Cox as AM.

I rate him but think it highly unlikely he'd accept a 6 month deal, we are hardly the most attractive proposition for a reasonable league 1 leftback. I must to confess to being concerned that McNulty may not make a full recovery from his injury and we need more than a makeshift LB. Richards would fit the bill imo, but we'd have to do better than 6 months to have a chance I would have thought

My sentiments exactly.

He's poorer than the players we've just released who have come through the ranks it be a bizarre signing

won't make the earth move but knows the club and would settle quickly at a time of change, solid, dependable, consistent, vastly superior on the left to anyone currently or recently on the books (McNulty excepted) good tactical awareness, can push forward if needed..................... realistically what's not to like?
