Richards on his way back?

Think he would do a job as our left winger but covering at left-back until Jimmy mac is fit again. Something like this:

DM: Dicker
RM: Cox
LM: Richards
AM: Forster*

* This is with the current squad, we bring in a right winger we can put Cox as AM.

I will not attend game if that is the midfield.

hes fat, slow, hoof is his speciality and the only good thing he did was THAT penalty against Man city

He's hardly fat or slow (sit in C block so got to see a lot of him) and he started off a lot of good moves dribbling forward into midfield when no one else was moving.. Just because he doesn't stand out and score a goal a match doesn't mean that he doesn't contribute..

very good point he was a creative left back which will help if we sign him

hes so creative try him at left mid then he can set more goals and maybe even score some

I thought we had a great run of clean sheets with Richards in the team. He has a great cross and reads the game well. Slade seems to be getting the best out of players so if Russell wants him great news.

Why on earth would you play our most natural out-and-out striker in midfield?

Can't see him coming back without a guarantee (or near as it gets) of first team football and with mcnulty he would only be cover

Isn't it funny how people moan on here about Adams playing people out of position all season and then people come on here an suggest playing Forster in midfield and signing Richards to play left wing?!

Got nothing against Richards, was a perfectly good left back, but why on earth would we sign him as a left midfielder. Again, I'm sure he won't let us down but if we're looking for quality to replace what we already had I don't really see what Richards has to offer.

Would be good as a loan cover for McNulty but clearly he can't come on loan since he doesn't have a club. We also can't realistically keep two out and out left backs on our books who both have aspirations of playing at League 1 or higher week in week out and who both probably command a decent wage for our squad.

That is absolute rubbish. Rico is a very good player and will probably be snapped up by a Championship club unfortunately for us.

If we do sign him though I will be chuffed to bits, although as he was with us for so long it wouldn't really have the excitement of a new signing.

Don't forget that he is a very capable left midfielder as well a good left back.

I would prefer Borrowdale on a 6 month loan,if possible to cover,or challenge for the left bacck spot.Who knows when Jimmy Mac will be ready.

Richards is simply not up to it at left back. He is good on the ball and has a good left foot, but has absolutely no clue when it comes to defending. When one-on-one with a winger he will get roasted everytime, and that is not what we need if we are to challenge at the top end of this division.

I agree that loaning Borrowdale again would be an excellent move.
