Sad. Has been unwell for a while. American stand-up, comedian and foil over the years for his good friend Larry David in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Featured in episode 3 of the latest series of Curb which dropped a couple of weeks ago in UK. Verbally still sharp but physically obviously unwell. RIP.

Oh man.

I didn't know of him outside of Curb, but absolutely loved him in that show. He was the equal of Larry in every scene, a genuinely funny man who played his side-role superbly. Watching the exasperating arguments between them was so richly entertaining and one of the reasons I'm such a fan of Curb. As others have said though, he looked increasingly frail.

What a sad loss. RIP Lewis.
