Hawks team: Lloyd Anderson; Dan Taylor, Stewart Holmes, Justin Harris, Darragh Ryan; Scott Kirkwood, Richard Carpenter, Danny Davis; Wes Tate, Darren Freeman, Josh Jones

I remember Darragh Ryan playing a few games for us before badly breaking his leg at Peterborough. Gerry Ryan's son I believe.

Darren Freeman is still playing? Amazing.

I love chippy.

I wouldn't call it "playing". He was falling over and moaning to the ref a lot, though.

Chippy was quite involved, breaking up attacks. Expected him to spray the ball around a bit more, but he did have a good free kick well saved near the end.

Wes Tate had an excellent game.

christ knows how much carpenter is on there if the sums they are paying far less able players is anything to go by

can really see whitehawk going all the way this season - there cannot be another team at that level of football who can afford to chuck that much money away on the playing side of things

How many promotions do whitehawk need to make the conference?

four - county one to ryman south, ryman south to ryman premier, ryman premier to blue square south, blue square south to blue square premier

plus a substantial redevelopment of their facilities

I would have thought he would have had to give up Whitehawk when he signed a professional contract with Sussex.

I may be wrong though.

he was playing last year when under contract at sussex - dont think he has figured this season for whitehawk though
