I am warming to you :D

It's all small dishes, so normally order 2-3 each, share, and order more if you wish.

My fave tapas is the Andalucia in Ferring near Worthing if you are out this way

That is where I want to go to try but apparently you have to book well in advance and I noted from their menu that they do Paella and steaks so I may well be tempted to miss the tapas out and go for one of them.

I'm not sure, I've only ever really booked on the day, or day before at best for a Friday night and never had a problem! Great family that run it, give it a go!

Funny you mention it, i looked into this yesterday and was well up for it but at £52 a head plus drinks/taxis it's going to roll over £200 per couple which sadly was a little too much. Not ruling it out for the future though!

i like it to but would need to be for a special occasion i think at those prices

Another thumbs up for the Andalucia - never had to book too far in advance although it isn't a big restaurant. You can also eat out in the garden if it is a nice evening. Tapas portions there are quite large - we usually end up over ordering - but the food is always good.

What do you recommend from their menu for a novice tapas man, if you would rather not post it on the board by all means send me a pm

Thanks for that I assume that is per person. with some potatoes and veg or salad or does the food come with either.

To Springal's list I'd also add the Pollo al ajillo which is a very nice chicken in garlic sauce dish. The idea of tapas is to share so order several dishes and share with your guests rather than get main course each. You can always start off small and then order more as you go along. Tapas don't come sides as you get the vegetarian tapas for these such as Potatoes ‘bravas’ served with hot spicy sauce or Potatoes ‘ali oli ‘with garlic mayonnaise. The tortilla (spanish omelette) is good but quite filling.
