Sussex but not by the sea
I'm not sure it did. From 30th December........

Villa (a) Draw
Arsenal (h) Draw
Ipswich (a) Win
Everton (h) Loss
Forest (a) Loss
Chelsea (h) Win
Saints (a) Win
Bournemouth (h) Win
I think we were already in decent form, and the Forest game was an abberation.
I still maintain that Forest wasn't our worst performance of the season!!! The last 15 minutes was our worst defensive period of the season but every shot Forest had went in, it could have been 3-3 at HT!!!
Our worst 90 minutes of the season was either Palace or Everton IMO.

We're third in the form table.

Since Jan 1st, we've W4 D1 L2 (and in the last 10, we're W4 D4 L2)
I have also seen your subsequent post, but I think you're just reinforcing my point. We may well be third in the PL form table, but we are eighth in the real table. When we went eight(?) PL games without a win, we were probably in the relegation form table.
All of this is to be expected given we had loads of incomings this summer most of whom hadn't played in the PL before joining us, we have a young manager new to the PL, and we have a very young squad. Add in that we've had the worst injury situation in the entire PL (although this did coincide with our downturn in form).

I think the players had given up and conceded 3 quick goals at the end. Also FH learnt he cannot go light in midfield

We have a week between this and Fulham, loads of recovery time. Plus, let's not forget the importance of momentum. Beating Chelsea in the FA Cup with a strong side kickstarted this run, and I expect us to go with a strong side again, maybe rotating the midfield and front players?

Verbruggen
Lamptey JPVH Webster (Dunk, if fit) Estupinan
Weiffer Hinshelwood
Gruda O'Riley Mitoma
Welbeck or Pedro
Sorry but Dunk bench at best, JVPH and Webster hold the CB pairing as both in good form

We're currently in one of our best runs since we've been in the Premier League. Taking all first team matches (league and cup) into consideration, we've won 7 out of 9, something we haven't bettered previously (we've matched it twice before, both times under Graham Potter).

Worth adding that there was an ALMIGHTY MELTDOWN on here in the middle of our current run.

Start strong and change it either up or down depending on the state of the game.
Come on we can win this. Had a well deserved win earlier in the season, no reason we can't do it again.
