Baz
Simmonds 2
Barker
:albion1:

49 mins - Brighton Goal (Baz)

Baz cuts in off the right and lets fly with his left foot from 22 yards, it dips viciously, late, over Royce and nestles in the top corner.

Unstoppable.

80 mins - Brighton Goal (Simmonds)

Kasim picks out a superb pass, releasing Simmonds in behind. The substitute finishes with aplomb, lifting the ball over the advancing Royce.

89 mins - Brighton Goal (Barker)

Barker turns on the edge of the box and lets fly with a low shot. Royce gets a hand to it but can't keep it out.

90 mins - Brentford Goal (Hazelwood)

The Bees hit back immediately. Hazelwood heads in at the far post from a Hunt cross.

90+2 mins Brighton Goal (Simmonds)

Another goal.

Agdestein puts Barker away and he beats the offside trap. Royce keeps the shot out but Simmons puts the rebound away.

Simmonds is on a short term contract with the development squad until January - same as Kasim.

Anyone know if Matutu got on for the second half and how he played?

thanks. I figure that if he has been kept as a triallist for over a month he seems likely to get at least a short term contract (which seems to be confirmed on the club site although I don't remember it being announced)

Do the reserves pay the same style of football as the first team?
ie passing the ball about and patient buildup from the back.

The reserves don't actually play football as such, they sit around sulkily bemoaning their lot and slagging off Gus. What were you under the impression they did?

They're obviously not very good at it or they would be in the England squad.
